Matis Indian Tribe.  Image of native Amazonian with baby boy.  As with many Amazonian tribes, the mother forms a special bond with their children.  This is analogous to the Matses tribe, in which this special mother-child bond has been documented by various anthropologists who have studied the native people of the Javari River Valley in Brazil and Peru.
