Putting on a Matis Indian Mariwin Face Mask.  The Matis are adept at making ceramics masks for the Ceremony of Mariwin.  Mariwin represents ancestral spirits, that are nonhuman and unable to talk.  The ancestral spirits come from the Amazon rain forest into the village and seek children (and sometimes women) to punish.
