Txemã, the primary cacique (right) and Ivarapa, secondary cacique (left) hunting with blowgun and poison darts.  Matis blowguns are among the largest in the world; their 12-foot length allows hunters to accurately target prey even at distances of over 150 feet.  Note the arm band (on the right) that is composed of monkey teeth.  Only men wear ornaments containing monkey teeth.
