Matsés woman showing body art and facial painting that is common among the Matsés tribe.  Huito (genipap) and achiote (annatto) are used for body painting.  The accentuated lines surrounding the mouth and extending along the cheeks to the ear base are characteristic of the Matsés Indians of Brazil and Peru.
