People in the Amazon Rainforests

Members of the Matis tribe preparing for the native ritual of capybara. The capybara is an aquatic rodent and is larger than any other rodent.  People in the Amazon Rainforests often practice rituals that involve animals.  Animals are important both for subsistence and for religious purposes.
